Australian artist Tom Mac has been busy at work with his debut EP and performing shows around the country. One song in particular has earned its spot on our favourite playlist! A country ballad of the sweetest sounds, “Hearts Are Strong” is both delicate and powerful in writing. This is the sort of song that will sir something inside of you and make you feel.

A song that intertwines both the sweetness of love with the familiarity of home, Mac has done a phenomenal job in writing “Hearts Are Strong”. It is intimate and organic in its lyrics, evoking strong feelings of nostalgia and longing. The ability to tell a story in such a personal manner has us as listeners feeling the love right alongside Mac.

Mac’s powerful, raspy tones are the perfect tool with which to deliver “Hearts Are Strong”. Coupled with a playful guitar and backing instrumentals, the song continues to impress not only lyrically, but also musically. It doesn’t sound overprocessed or filtered at all, further lending to the genuine, personal feel of “Hearts Are Strong”. A true joy to listen to.
