Yet in spite of this situation, rather than letting his pain get to him, Stevenson reflects on the love, musing that perhaps in another time, another life, things may have worked out. Resolving to stay strong and not cry over the loss, “I Won’t Cry” stands as a comfort and symbol of solidarity to those enduring such a situation.
