Sharon Watkins has been plucking on our heartstrings with her newest single! “When We Were Together” is a folk rock ballad exploring the aftermath of an ended relationship. Whether you are experiencing such a thing yourself, or simply want a song filled with passion and emotion, then this is the one for you!

Reflecting on all the things she once did with her ex lover, Watkins talks about how her life has moved on and she has continued in spite of the failed romance. However, she stills finds herself asking him not to do things they used to do together. “Don’t go to the places we have been, don’t wear any clothes I’ve seen you in,” she pleads. The personal, vulnerable style of the lyrics is extremely effective at reaching out to listeners and connecting with them.

Delivered to us on Watkins heartfelt, passionate vocals, “When We Were Together” continues to impress not only lyrically, but also musically. All audio elements are well arranged, and blend well together, complimenting Watkins voice, and highlighting the emotion and message behind the song.

All in all, Sharon Watkins has captured our hearts with this one! We can’t wait to see what she will come out with next!
