We all live for the weekend, right? With summer well on its way, we’re always looking for new adventures to have, fun places to visit, and fresh faces to meet. We’re all looking for memories to fill our sunny days.
So picture this: A weekend picnic, in a seemingly endless lavender field, located in beautiful Santa Barbara County. Surrounded by the sweet fresh smell, Olive Trees, and California blue skies, you would be in serenity. Well, no need to imagine this setting any longer, Gas Maskers! You can do this, and much more, up at Clairmont Lavender Farm!
Clairmont Lavender Farm, located in Los Olivos, California (two hours north of Los Angeles) is a family owned lavender farm open all year long (with the exception of Tuesdays to the public). Guests are welcome to walk in the fields, have sun kissed picnics, and visit the on-site shop where lavender is harvested to produce beautiful, organic products. These range from sensory items like lotions and oils to savory treats like honeys and teas (even salt and pepper!).
We took a visit up to Clairmont Farm to check out the aesthetically pleasing environment for ourselves, and not only was it a breathtaking experience, but we were treated with nothing but kindness from Sean Everett Crowder—one of the family members who operates the estate. He was knowledgable, pleasant, and beyond lovely as he guided us through our day.
Creativity seems to bloom right alongside the lavender all throughout the fields. Artists of all mediums come each year to paint, make movies, and shoot photos all in an effort to capture the essence of this remarkable place. Of course we felt inspired and decided to get in on the fun. Check out some of our exclusive photos below:
