Ethereal pop singer-songwriter Cait has dropped another golden-tinted single that has left us breathless called, “Stay In.”
The Wisconsin-native moved to LA after graduating from the renowned Berklee College of Music. Cait has an impressive resume, working with indie and major label artists alike, but her solo work is where she really shines.
Cait has cultivated a dreamy, boho aesthetic through the artwork she designs for her single covers and her self-directed music videos. Cait’s visuals correlate perfectly with her light and atmospheric sound. On “Stay In,” the singer-songwriter proves yet again that she is a natural storyteller.
On this track, Cait gets in touch with her more intimate side. “I see it on your face/And I’m feeling the same way/We both know this bed is better than any party,” Cait playfully convinces her lover to take the night off and stay in with her. The sweet, romantic sentiment of this song captures the stage in a relationship when two people get to know each other so well they can practically read each other’s minds. Cait sings about the kind of love where sipping on “margaritas in the kitchen” is preferable to a wild night out at the club. The next time you and your SO are conflicted about feeling FOMO, try giving “Stay In” a listen for some perspective.
