Titus Bank’s “Hide Me Like You Do” (Dizzy Remix) deserves to get its time in the spotlight.
It’s not your normal remix. There’s no dance beat. In fact, it’s almost the exact opposite. It’s a slow duet with haunting vocals and heartfelt lyrics.
The melancholy song comes from the point of view of a self-conscious person who wants to understand why the person he/she cares about is ashamed of him/her. Banks discussed the writing process for the song saying, ‘“Hide Me Like You Do’ was the first song I wrote with Valley, and it was really special because it sparked a chemistry that I’ve never experienced before with any other songwriters.
We spent the day getting to know each other, and then started writing the song by brainstorming title ideas and going from there. It was really organic and natural.” The Canadian pop singer is not just known for his voice, but his songwriting as well.
He created and released 185 songs in the course of a year during his 365 Songwriting Challenge.
