Art is about taking chances, and I feel that The New Investors have created art through chances taken. In the music video for their newest release, “New Beginning”, they commit to the psychedelic rock influences, maintaining the aesthetic as well as musical styling. Dreamy, wafting guitars strum and warble daintily, like lone drops of water sending ripples across a still pond. While some may see the ‘groovy’ vibe in the video, including the unorthodox dance moves, as odd, the perceptions fall away on the force of the music alone. 

Blending their roots in Dreampop and Surfpop, they paint a vivid, technicolor dreamscape. Aided by dreamy and skillful vocals, this track had me lost in the clouds, sitting back, letting the world and more wash over me, unbothered. 

There’s a great musicality to it, the cornerstone of which is the storytelling and, honestly, thrilling vocal performance present in the track.
