“Shooting Star,” the latest from The Como Brothers, shows that they have the formula for pop punk magic down to a T. The diaristic lyrics are romantic and relatable, a perfect fit for the earnest and yearning vocals. This is a song that would sound great live — which is amazing news, because they’re currently on tour! There’s a fun usage of cowbell like percussion, adding some flair to the song. The anthemic chorus is the kind that we love to sing along to, whether in a stadium or in the car or shower. The guitar solo that leads into the last chorus is positively delicious.
