Super Sthlm Bros: “Chef”

Strut and slap things out of people’s hands with this fun as hell song from eclectic music duo Super Sthlm Boys. “Chef” is the song you have on to announce your arrival at a party you have no business being at. It is bold, it is loud, it is aggressive in presentation and flair, and it holds nothing back.

Feel like you have a funk-fusion orchestra at your back as you blast this absolute jam out of any and every speaker you own. Point at neighbors who come outside to see what all the noise is about and don’t say a word, stomping your foot along to every clap and snap in the hilariously funkadelic backing mix. Bebop down the road grinning from ear to ear, busting out the air-guitar and don’t forget to dip and jive as the song pulls out all the stops. The vocals are great, bordering on improvisational, with an energy that will not fail to make glass rattle in cabinets and hips sway.

The deceptive lull towards the end is punctuated with the unmistakable cocking of a gun, the pulling of the trigger launching one last starshell of bombastic flourish, a fiery burst to finally kick down the door of your inhibitions.

If this song doesn’t make you smile, make you groove along, make you laugh and replay it at least once, I’ll owe you a neon-colored cocktail of your choosing. Stream it below, and tell us what you think of it on social media at: @gasmaskmagazine.
