Many young and bright singer-songwriters dream of making their big break before they hit the ripe age of 18. Not too many are successful, but some like Nottingham-native Callum Burrows, better known as Saint Raymond, prove that it can be done with flying colors.
Back in 2013, Burrows was just an 18-year-old kid who played local gigs and wrote songs. That same year his debut EP was picked up by Gabrielle Aplinβs Never Fade Records and he played a stellar set on the BBC Introducing stage at the Reading and Leeds Festival. From there, Burrows went on to tour with bands like Haim, Young Blood, and he even opened for Ed Sheeran in 2014.
βRight Way Roundβ is the first single from Saint Raymond since 2019βs β3.β This new indie-pop jam shows the artist at his most self-assured. The melodies are filled with fluttering guitar riffs and Raymond gives us his strongest vocal performance yet. His playful lyrics and moody synth details elevate the songβs emotional effect and leave us itching to hear this spirit-lifting track over and over. Saint Raymond is back, and we can hardly wait to hear whatβs next. Stream the track below, and tell us what you think of it on social media at: @gasmaskmagazine.
