Trans-continental and cross-oceanic Folk Pop trio Raynes beckon us to them in an adventure of love and longing with their newest single, β€œCome My Way.”

We’ve been playing this track on all of our social-distancing appropriate outings, be it to work, remote hikes, or runs down back-country roads. A foot-stomping, hand-clapping romp of a song, fans of acts like Coldplay and Mumford & Sons will find a lot to love.

Frontman Mark Race’s wonderful vocal work is a force all its own, his energy amplified by the steady rhythmic beat and stripped-down guitar work. The chorus is really what got us, a harmonious call we felt directly involved in. There is this sweeping vibe of grandiosity to the instrumentals and vocals that gives this uplifting track an epic quality. By the end, as the chorus, left alone and sounding righteous without any backing, calls out for somebody, anybody, to β€œCome My Way,” you’ll be as caught up as we were, singing out at the top of your lungs!

As we sit at home, separated from friends and loved ones, waiting for the all clear, Raynes offers a message we can all get behind. There’s a lot out there to dissuade us from reuniting and reconnecting, but in the end we’ll dust ourselves off, light the hearth and send out the welcoming, defiant invitation to β€œCome My Way.” Tell us what you think of this tune on social media today: @gasmakmagazine.
