Icelandic singer Ragnar AEgir uses the Land of Fire and Ice as inspiration for his music.
His longing for the place where he grew up can clearly be heard in his new single βIβm at Home (Unplugged).β Itβs the slower, more relaxed version of his original βIβm Homeβ track.
Although both good interpretations, the acoustic version feels more suited for the sentiments heβs trying to evoke. It enhances the raw emotion and lyrics behind the music. βIβm Homeβ is the title track off of his debut album. On his website, AEgir describes his new music as, βsync-friendly pop tunes that blend modern pop elements with cinematic influenced sounds, paired with heartfelt lyrics.β
Even though heβs rather new on the music scene, he is already gaining popularity. Two of his singles received over 100k streams on Spotify. Iceland seems to have embraced their native singer as well. He has made the Icelandic Radioβs top 20 charts.
