Peyton Shay is dealing with the remnants of a breakup with her new single “Pretty Boi Homicide.”
The song is a mood lifter from the start. The fun, upbeat track is a strong woman’s anthem about knowing when it’s time to leave a relationship and not look back. It doesn’t matter if her ex is trying to make her jealous by flaunting his new girlfriend, she’s done. Shay spoke about the song in an Instagram post saying, “Have you ever been in a relationship where they treat you like trash but they expect you to stay? I wrote a song about that.”
At just 18-years-old, Shay may be young, but she knows how to make a catchy pop tune that can attract listeners of all ages. Her honest vocals mixed with the infectious beat make it hard not to sing and dance along.
“Pretty Boi Homicide” is the title track of her recently released debut EP.
