MIG is no stranger to catchy beats and intoxicating melodies that grab your attention. Having been known as one of the go-to ghost producers in Hollywood, MIG has produced multiple billboard hits for household names that we ALL know and love (like Dua Lipa and The Chainsmokers, to name a few). His novel and remarkable soundscapes bring a breath of fresh air to musical production across the board. But after so many hits under his belt, MIG is now surfacing with his own artistry. Lucky for you we caught up with the creative genius earlier this week.

Having produced hard-hitting beats that make any musical consiouer’s mouth water, we asked MIG what makes a good beat: “It’s a combination of sounds and harmonies. It doesn’t have to be a perfect chord. You just need balance in the mix.”

And balance is, indeed, something you hear on MIG’s latest tune. Titled, “VOY,” the new single is concocted with a riveting soundscape that will have your pulse bending and bursting. The drop and chorus have to be our favorite aspect though—creating a futuristic vision of the landscape of music.

VOY isn’t the only single MIG has on Spotify, scan through his other tracks, and you’ll see why his artistry is one that only appears once in a blue moon. In regards to his life changing since coming out of the production shadows, MIG humbly shrugged it off with a smile. “I have no idea how it’s going to change my life. I have no expectations.”
