Michelle Ray’s soulful pop vocals and catchy hook breathe life into her new song, “Bad by Myself.” It’s a song about a toxic relationship. The lyrics convey the point that if someone is treating you badly, then you don’t need them. You can be good to yourself, but you can also be bad to yourself, so you don’t need anyone extra to bring you down. Apparently, you got yourself covered on all basis, lol.
Maybe you remember the Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter’s stint as part of Team Blake on season four of NBC’S The Voice. She was also lead singer in the European band, Veil of Obscurity. Further,Michelle Ray has been cast in several theatrical roles and her voice and songs featured on many national commercials including Maybelline, Mastercard and JC Penney, to name a few.
Catch Michelle Ray the next time she performs around Los Angeles at venues including The Troubadour, Hotel Café and Rockwell Table and Stage. Until then, take a listen to “Bad by Myself” available now.
