Philadelphia native Matt Vantine delights us with a folksy rock single in his solo single, “Roll Around.”
Harkening back to the frat and bar rock popular in the Midwest and East Coast, this song strikes out on its own and makes for a fun listen. With a higher register that reminds us of Rock legends of yore, Matt Vantine’s voice is a welcome injection of rollicking vocals. The acoustic guitar is a great accompaniment for this kind of song, as it makes it more friendly, more informal. This is the kind of song that a mid-00’s teen movie heartthrob would be trying to use to woo the recently de-spectacled pixie dream girl. It’s just fun, plain and simple, a beer and bonfire kind of song that screams plaid and blue jeans.
Don’t take our word for it. Listen for yourself and enjoy the spontaneous barbeque, aviator sunglasses and well-loved acoustic-guitar that appear in your room! Tell us what you think of this new track on social media today! @gasmaskmagazine
