Lou Ella shares her struggles with her single “Lost My Mind.”

The song expresses the ups and downs of a relationship. The music starts with a mellow church-like open and turns into a grungy feel. The lyrics reminisce about a former romance and how mentally and emotionally exhausting it was. The track begins with the now tainted perspective of how the relationship began. The couple is referred to as “foolish kids” after the line “not what you think, we were only high on love” echoes the thought. Lou Ella’s honest vocals convey the passion behind the lyrics. Musical breaks put the spotlight on her soulful voice.

“Lost My Mind” is a song off Lou Ella’s recently released 4-track EP entitled Lost My Mind in Angel City.
