The song may be titled “Lose,” but it definitely makes for a winning collaboration between rappers KSI and Lil Wayne.
Individually, each artist has their own strong background of talent, accomplishments and popularity. KSI started out as an English YouTuber, who grew a following by posting commentary of the FIFA video game series. Along the way, KSI added boxing and rapping to his resume. And of course, Lil Wayne is a well-known American rapper, singer, songwriter, record exec, entrepreneur and actor. He is considered by many as one of the most influential hip hop artists of his generation.
Together on “Lose,” KSI and Lil Wayne showcase their rarely heard melodic vocals alongside rap verses to create quite an impressive, fan-pleasing hit. The lyrics are somewhat humorous as both artists sing about “needing therapy” after falling in love. The pop rap and emo rap fusion gelled together by a charismatic chorus makes this a fun listening experience.
“Lose” is the new single off the deluxe version of KSI’s second album, All Over the Place.
