Kazakhstani-Ethiopian model Kristina Menissov has us starry-eyed over her debut single, “Taking Over LA.”

The social media influencer and high fashion model has worked with designers such as Roberto Cavalli and has walked fashion week runways from LA to Miami. Kristina also recently had a starring role in Tyga’s music video for his song “Ibiza.” Now the multihyphenate model can add pop artist to her resume with the release of “Taking Over LA.” 

On this track, Kristina pays a tongue-in-cheek tribute to the glamorous lifestyle often associated with the City of Angels. “I’ve been to after parties/Took my selfie with Khalid,” the artist gives us a glimpse into the wild night life during Coachella weekend. Bouncing bass and dazzling synths back up Kristina’s airy vocals that also contain a dash of sarcasm. Kristina takes on the persona of a rising star who strives to look good in bikinis and walk down red carpets. 

Kristina understands the ins and outs of the industry which is why she is able to capture the spirit of it so perfectly in “Taking Over LA.” Watch out Hollywood because Kristina Menissov is coming in hot!
