Kane Miller: “Something New”

Uplifting. In these times, we can turn to distraction, and we can turn to white noise, just to try and find something to take away from the surplus of confusion and emptiness in the air these days. It is a special kind of comfort to find a piece of music that manages to pick you up and set you back on your feet.

Kane Miller offers a tender, lighthearted musical experience with his release, “Something New.” Blending the storytelling of Folk with the catchiness of Pop and stripped down instrumentals, he delivers an especially entertaining and cheerful sound. His voice has a warmth to it, a personable tone that endears him even more to the listener. The lyrics take pages from romanticism, invoking thousands of years, longing, hope, distance, time, all to deliver the message that, maybe something else, something new is in store. Not just maybe, definitely.
