Josh David wants to go “Back to the Future” with his new country single.
No, it’s not anything related to Marty McFly or Doc Brown. David would like to go back in time to when he was in a happy relationship with his ex, talking about their future plans together. Through the lyrics and his vocals, David tells a vivid story about how their connection was and how hard it is to get over.
The catchy chorus highlights the seriousness of the relationship, expressing that the two were talking about kids and buying a place together. Now, unfortunately, his ex has moved on without him. David tries to play off that he’s okay with the breakup, but you can hear in his voice that it’s tough.
The 24-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter co-wrote “Back to the Future” with Aaron Pollock and Lydia Sutherland. The independently released track was co-produced by Spencer Cheyne and Justin Kudding.
