Debbie Curtis’ “Merry Christmas” keeps the holiday spirit going.
Curtis brings her love of Christmas to song with this new single. She shows off her talent and enthusiasm on the track by singing and playing all of the instruments. The familiar holiday sounds, like the jingling bells, add a feeling of nostalgia. Her lyrics and vocals express her joy for the season. Curtis’ love of the holiday started when she was young and inspired her to write “Merry Christmas” when she was a teenager. She explained, “It’s not a religious or nativity song, it’s just meant to capture the spirit of the season, so it’s not directly aimed at Christians or as Christian music. It’s for everybody who enjoys Christmas in the way I do, for me, it’s the most wonderful time of the year.” At a time of year when the same songs are played over and over again, it’s refreshing to hear a new Christmas track.
The British musician’s infectious Christmas spirit is evident in the song and video. The video showcases holiday traditions and the love of family.
