David Archuleta is back with a new sound and story in “Patient!” Listen below!

This new track from the young artist is jazzy and mature. We still hear that angelic sound we know and love, especially in the catchy hook, but the lyrics have so much depth. Verses such as “Find the beauty in the letting go” are not just timely, but speak to the experience of anyone dealing with anxiety. He explores the internal struggle of offering yourself grace in the midst of high expectations. “Hurry up and learn to take it slow” just about sums up that struggle and we’re sure listeners can find themselves in it.

Patient is the newest release from Archuleta’s new album Therapy Sessions. Born from his actual therapy sessions, the young artist wrote these songs as he worked through pre and post Idol anxieties. The timing of David’s release is uncanny, and he hopes to encourage people with his album. He recently stated in the Tampa Bay Times, “But whoever is going to listen to it…we hope that it helps them say, Okay, here we go, we can get through this.”

David Archuleta got his start as runner-up on American Idol. It’s been 3 years since we heard from the singer/songwriter and we’re excited to hear from him as he grows. David currently has tour dates starting in July in Los Angeles; check his Facebook page for a full listing!
