One of our favorite things about these guys is their incredible vocal chemistry. Their latest single plays on their vocal chemistry in a new way. They trade lines after a strange, almost trippy intro that introduces every sonic element gradually and purposefully. Some truly fascinating vocal production makes their voices into studio instruments, to set up a truly surprising inverted drop for the chorus. The way they sing their signature earworm hook, “strange direction,” imbues the line with a restless, searching quality that truly matches the lyrics of the song. And the lovely yet quirky outro is just the cherry on top.
