A man in white tennis-shoes, a baby-blue suit, walking down the lonesome road through Monument Valley. This is the opening image of the new video for the song “Prayer” from Hip-hop/Electronic artist Benisdead

There is a monumental quality to this simple video, as there is to the soulful and mesmerizing vocal work of Bensbeendead. Prayer is a fitting title, as this artist’s fluid and harmonic voice leads us through a rhetorical discussion common to many. The lyrics are themselves a musical prayer, worthy of a place of worship or time of personal introspection. There’s uncertainty, there’s searching for meaning, there’s calling out to the sky and whatever lies beyond for an answer, any answer. We had chills down our spines and our heads in the clouds, recalling our doubts, our fears, and the journey towards our own answers. Tell us YOUR thoughts on social media today: @gasmaskmagazine.

Having opened for artists DMX, Lil Tecca and others, Benisdead’s credentials are plain to see, if his overwhelming talent were not enough.
