Alice Wondering expresses herself with her new single “Égotisme.”
The music mixed with her smooth vocals provides a soothing experience for the listener. The electro-pop song may give off a sorrowful vibe, but Wondering assured in a Facebook post that it wasn’t her intention. She wrote, “The first track Égotisme is NOT sad I swear.” The song is the title track off of her debut EP. She went on to explain the meaning behind the other song on the album, “Down & Out,” adding, “the second one is my love letter to the UK.”
Wondering grew up in Paris but moved to London seven years ago. Her time spent in the two countries influenced her music. One obvious link to the two places heard on her new EP is the language. “Égotisme” is a French language track while “Down & Out” is in English.
