Alexa Valentino is doing her best to be “Happy for You” with her new single.
It’s not the typical breakup song that hates on the other person. This track is more about the struggle to move on when still feeling that the other person is a great catch. At only 16-years-old, Valentino’s lyric and vocal abilities go beyond her years.
The heartfelt lyrics (which she wrote with friend Patrick Dodge) can connect with people of all ages. Her honest vocals and the accompanying piano bring even more emotion to the song. “Happy for You” is the second single (her first release was “Kissing Other Girls”) off the singer / songwriter’s upcoming EP entitled “A Guide to Moving On” which is set to be released in November.
In addition to the new music coming out, Valentino is also adding to her already established acting resume. The Long Island, NY native is filming a starring role in a horror film entitled Mittens.
