Ahli is here to stay with their song “Gone Before You Let Go.”
The indie rock track expresses the desire to live happily in the moment. The honest lyrics describe not wanting to see the demise of a relationship coming before it’s over. Ahli’s haunting vocals enhance the sentiment behind the words. Their voice evokes feelings of passion and sadness for what’s to come. The melancholy track is one of the emotionally charged songs on their album.
“Gone Before You Let Go” is the title track of the nine-song album. Having worked on it for over two years, Ahli poured their heart and soul into it. They described (https://www.instagram.com/ahlis_music/) the album saying:
It’s about falling in and out of love, navigating my own mental health (ECT, medications, and lots of therapy and good and bad) and figuring out if I wanted to be someone worth coming back to or if I just wanted to find someone who thought I was.
