7KY is spreading his wings with his single “PAPILLÓN.”
Even though the title is not in English, most of the lyrics are. Papillon translates to butterfly. The idea of the butterfly echoes throughout the song, not just in the lyrics, but in the music as well. Just as the insect transforms, so does the track. The beginning has an ethereal feel in the music and vocals. About forty seconds in, the beat kicks in. As the song comes to a close, it cycles back to the haunting vocals and music that started it all.
“PAPILLÓN” was co-created by lyricist Avonlea Martin, composer Bret Martin and author Sky Gienger (aka 7KY). It’s the third single from the EDM producer this year. Additionally, 7KY also released a 9-song album in 2022 entitled Ordinary Alien.
